Divine Living was founded by mother and son duo Tiffany and DaShawn McGary in Omaha, NE.
Divine Living is a state of Nebraska & Iowa DHHS-approved provider of Medicaid Home and Community Based Services for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
Executive Director & Co-Founder
DaShawn McGary is an Omaha Native who obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration- Finance in 2021. With his business degree, he is to oversee the operations and financial obligations of Divine Living. Although his passion is business, he’s been brought along during his upbringing to see his mother, Tiffany work with individuals with developmental disabilities. While in college, DaShawn worked for an agency providing Medicaid Home and Community Based Services for those with developmental disabilities. DaShawn worked for this agency for one year and four months.
During this time this is when he saw he was a natural nurturer and individuals adapted to him very well. DaShawn had also gotten the chance to work in the position he is now managing. He got to see things he loved in the agency he worked for and things he would do differently within his agency. Gaining this experience in the field before starting his agency with his business partner has boosted his leadership and management skills with his staff.
Director of Operations & Co-Founder
Tiffany McGary is an Omaha Native who obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Bellevue University in 2007. She has worked in the hospital setting and residential setting directly with individuals as a caseworker and/or caregiver for over 10 years. Her passion is to care for others through teaching, nurturing, and setting a great example for those with developmental disabilities. With this being, opening an agency has been a dream come true. With Tiffany’s connections already within the industry, we have gained relationships with service coordinators, guardians of individuals who are wanting to apply to receive services plus more.
Director of Administration
Marilyn McGary is a Minister/Registered Nurse/Private Consultant providing services to Churches, Ministries, and Businesses. She holds an Associate and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (1983/1990 respectfully), and a Master of Science Degree in Health Care Administration (2000). Master of Science in Divinity, 1998 – 1999. She has served on boards and committees locally, nationally, and throughout the State of Nebraska. She has more than 30 years of experience as an Administrator, Director, and CEO, in several organizations including private, and state governments. She has established and managed community-based organizations, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organizations, and health care facilities. Her passion is to help others to hear The Voice of God for themselves. Marilyn has five grown children, 25 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Director of Quality Assurance
Dawn McGary is an Omaha native, who obtained an Associate in Science degree in 1991 and an Associate in Nursing degree in 1997. She has over 20 years of experience in nursing and healthcare, as well as being a collegiate athlete. Her nursing career is in pediatric intensive care as a staff nurse, dialysis nurse, lead nurse, and Associate Nurse Manager. Her management skills, training, and experience aid her in her role as Quality Assurance Director at Divine Living. Quality Assurance involves the improvement of processes and procedures for better life experiences and outcomes for our participants. She enjoys her family, friends, and grandkids. Basketball has always been her passion and enjoys watching it every chance she gets.
